It features a 220 degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It comes with a massive 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it can run longer in turbo). It can even return to its dock to replenish its battery during the cleaning.
It is very efficient and does an outstanding job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted areas extremely quickly, and hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in one go. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to pick up dirt, pet hair, and poop with ease. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it comes in contact with carpets and the two side brushes help to tease out dirt from corners.
The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, isn't as good. The rotating mop spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stains. I've also noticed that the front arms protrude out slightly more than other robots, which is useful to get into tight corners and on baseboards. The front arms can be used to clean up larger debris, like broken toys and books.
Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It doesn't make the same volume of sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it needs to utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It is simple to install and works well. However when you purchase this robot vacuum solely to mop you must be aware of this.

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. However, it does have some unique features which make it worth considering. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its massive dock which serves as the robot's charging base and housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning, and a 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically empties.
The base also has a number of buttons to control the system. These allow you to manually start cleaning, recall the robot, or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Press two of the buttons to switch on a child lock which is a great feature for parents who are worried about kids tinkering with the vacuum.
The X1 Omni, like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to spot obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
The X1 can be prone to get stuck if it gets caught in a hazard like the power cable that is draped over a rug. It won't function until you manually untangle it. This was a rare occurrence, but frustrating nonetheless, since the X1 does not have a "stuck status" alert on its app.
The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad, except that the mopping pad isn't cleaned or dried between uses. This can lead to mildew and mold.
On the positive side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its sleek, modern-looking base and mopping pad. It's a major contrast to the utilitarian, black bases of competitors like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing appearance in a market which is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
